17 September 2019 marks the first-ever World Patient Safety Day. Launched by the World Health Organization, World Patient Safety Day is part of WHO's global campaign to create awareness of patient safety and urge people to show their commitment to making healthcare safer.
Patient Safety Learning is contributing to the day with a call to action to improve patient safety. Our contribution includes:
- A blog post titled 'Speaking up for patient safety' by our Chief Executive, Helen Hughes
- An interview with Health Tech Newspaper
- Three short videos, one titled 'Patient safety is a purpose of health and social care', another 'Shared learning for patient safety' and a third 'Leadership for patient safety'
